“Political Nonsense”: Nhlanhla Lux hungry to discredit the #NationalShutdown march

Soweto parliament leader Nhlanhla “Lux” Dlamini was in Soweto (Dube) from the early hours on Monday ready to protect businesses in Soweto townships against looting and bombing.

Dlamini commended the South African Police Services (SAPS) for their competence in saving businesses across Soweto against chancers with malicious intentions.

“Looting is a reality, shop owners are being bombed, ATM are being targeted and this is supposed to be a peaceful demonstration apparently, by so called politicians. I wonder what accountability is in store for these politicians that ransack our country and make sure that the poorest of the poorest of the people they suffer from the political nonsense.” he said.

The Soweto activist Nhlanhla Lux has put the blame on the EFF president Julius Malema claiming that two bombs were thrown into his house in Pimville with one bomb hitting the electric fence and breaking his neighbour's windows.

Dlamini caused an uproar on twitter in the early hours of Monday following claims that  his entire family  was bombed and killed as a result of the tragic event brought upon by the "political nonsense”. It was later confirmed by Police Minister Bheki Cele that there were no injuries and no fatalities.

The slander against the EFF party leader Julius Malema and the #NationalShutdown march was unsuccessful as people came in numbers across the country to protest the loadshedding crisis and demand President Cyril Ramaphosa to step down.

@AdvDali_Mpofu. “Maybe we should consider having rolling mass action for the ending of loadshedding & the resignation of Ramaphosa. SO THAT we can get to know the real capacity of our security forces as they come out to “protect South Africans” from protest but not from daily crime, murder, GBV, etc. Twitter, 19 Mar. 2023, 17:42 p.m.,

The #NationalShutdown by the EFF party has exposed irregularities in the government, one of which proves that the country has adequate resources to combat crimes. This follows the deployment of 3474 South African National Defence Force (SANDF) to aid the Police under Operation Prosper.

The EFF president Julius Malema thanked South African citizens for making a peaceful #EFFNationalShutdown march a success.

"They say the shutdown is not successful. Why? because there is no looting, because there is no burning of property, because there is no any leader arrested therefore shutdown is not successful. That's a lie. They want to project the EFF as an organization of the anarchies." Malema said

Malema further went on to say that the EFF party is an organization of discipline which can shut down the country without burning a building and without looting.

There has been no evidence of looting and bombing across the country thus far, including Soweto.
